MARIN and the
Maritime Institute @ Singapore Polytechnic (MI@SP) will be organising the three-day Applied Hydrodynamics of Floating Offshore Structures course in Singapore. This gives an overview of the latest developments including extreme metocean conditions, motion analysis and wave impact.
The course gives an overview of the latest experiences in a broad range of important fields, such as extreme metocean conditions (hurricane waves, loop currents, wind squalls), motion analysis, wave impact and green water loads, Dynamic Positioning (DP), coupled mooring analysis, offloading operations, shallow water mooring, and deep water model testing of Spars, Semis, TLPs and FPSOs. The course is given by a team of experts from the MARIN Houston and Wageningen offices.
The lectures will be supported by a dedicated case study which is both challenging and fun. During the course and case study there will be a lot of time to interact with the MARIN team. The course notes contain the full set of information as presented during the course.
The specific location of this intensive and interactive course is to be determined. The tentative programme can be found
HERE. The course fee is € 2,450 including all documentation and lunches.
