High-Resolution Light-Field Imaging Technology
-
Pixelated Colour Encoding Innovation:
Pixelated Colour Encoding Innovation Uses multicolour perovskite nanocrystals. Assigns unique colour to light from different directions and captures directional information without complex optics
-
Integrated Azimuth Detector Arrays:
Lithographically fabricated on transparent substrates, seamlessly integrates with existing charge-coupled device systems and eliminates need for costly microlens or photonic crystal setups
-
Broad Spectral Detection:
Detects across 0.002–700 nm. Extendable to near-infrared and micrometre ranges. Suitable for advanced optical research
-
Wide Application Potential:
For high-resolution medical imaging, autonomous vehicle sensing, optical testing and materials research. or avanced scientific instrumentation
Maritime Use Cases

This high-resolution imaging technology enhances maritime situational awareness by improving sensor accuracy for AI-assisted vessel navigation. It can help ships detect obstacles and avoid collisions in challenging conditions such as fog, rough weather, or congested waterways.

The system’s enhanced depth perception and imaging resolution also support autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) used in marine research, offshore infrastructure inspection, and deep-sea exploration.

In addition, the technology can support hull integrity monitoring, cargo scanning, and port surveillance by enabling non-intrusive, high-accuracy inspections to detect structural damage, smuggling attempts, or unauthorised modifications to vessels.
