MI@NUS Maritime Transport & Supply Chain Workshop
The Maritime Institute @ National University of Singapore (MI@NUS) will be co-organising a Maritime Transport & Supply Chain Workshop with the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) in conjunction with the 2013 International Conference on Logistics and Maritime Systems.

The workshop aims to bring together industry partners and research performers in the maritime domain and provide a platform for speakers and participants from the Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) and the industry to interact on the latest as well as the future challenges and opportunities related to logistics and supply chain in the maritime industry through research & development. Six (6) speakers from both the industry and the academia have been invited to share their expert opinions and thoughts.
This pre-conference workshop will identify important and upcoming research challenges in the maritime logistics and supply chain which include risk management, port choices and competitiveness, ICT, and collaborative planning between port and liners. It also serves as a prelude to potential R&D programmes that will help support and address identified key research themes in the workshop.

Workshop attendees may also wish to attend the afternoon sessions organised by LOGMS that will address on Future Port Concepts where some participants of the Next Generation Container Port Challenge (NGCP Challenge) will be invited to share their innovative ideas for the future port design. The afternoon sessions on 13 September 2013 are offered to MI@NUS workshop participants at a token fee of S$50. Kindly indicate interest in the reply slip and cash payment can be made during the morning tea break.
