The scholarships were presented at the MaritimeONE Scholarship and Tripartite Maritime Scholarship (TMSS) Awards Ceremony organised by the Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMI) on Friday evening. This marks the first time that students pursuing Doctorates and Masters have been awarded the MaritimeONE Scholarships under the SMI–MaritimeONE Postgraduate R&D Scholarship initiative.

The goal of this scholarship is to cultivate a strong local talent pool in maritime research, enhancing Singapore’s role as a global maritime knowledge hub with specialised research and development capabilities.

Mr Sharul Baggio Roslan  is currently in his first year of a Doctor of Engineering programme at the Singapore Institute of Technology. His research focuses on maritime decarbonisation, renewable energy, system modelling, and digital twinning.
