SMI Maritime Energy Systems Workshop

The SMI held its inaugural R&D workshop on the 7th March at the Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC), NTU, as a precursor to the launch of a thematic R&D grant call in 2Q2012 to support relevant R&D collaboration projects between the IHLs and the industry. The topics for discussion at the workshop included: LNG, Electric Propulsion, Energy Management (Marine/Port), Bio Fuel. With the conclusion of the workshop, the SMI as well as the participants had identified possible joint projects or research areas for collaboration and funding.

The workshop was chaired by Executive Director of SMI, Mr Heng Chiang Gnee, and jointly organised by SMI and MI@NTU.
