SUMMARY:Vibration Diagnosis and LASER Shaft Alignment for Marine and Offshore Rotating Machineries
DESCRIPTION:Singapore is a preferred port where ships and offshore rigs are built and maintained. It is also a place where Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) vessels conversions are carried out. As a maritime hub, many marine machineries and equipment manufacturers choose Singapore as their regional centres providing a wide variety of specialist and expert services to the marine and offshore industries.In the course of building, commissioning and repairing of ships and offshore vessels, machineries such as engines, pumps, compressors, fans, propeller-shafting systems, thrusters, propeller, etc., precise and effective methods in installation and commissioning are essential for maximizing asset effectiveness and reliability.This talk will cover the fundamental principles of vibration analysis; describe current methods of vibration diagnostic in commissioning and condition monitoring; and LASER alignment of rotating machineries in installations and repairs.
