SUMMARY:SMI Webinar: Alternative Fuels for International Shipping
DESCRIPTION:The enforcement of new and tighter emission standards by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), calling for a reduction in total annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the global shipping sector by at least 50% by 2050, relative to the GHG level in 2008, has led the shipping industry to explore how to radically decarbonise.The presentation  by  the Maritime Energy and Sustainable Development (MESD) Centre of Excellence  will provide an overview of the MESD study report on “Alternative Fuels for International Shipping”.
