SUMMARY:Primer Course 3: Offshore Gas Production
DESCRIPTION:COURSE OVERVIEWThis course is the joint-cooperative effort of Ngee Ann Polytechnic Mechanical Engineering Division and AZUR Offshore, UK.The course is designed to help the participants to acquire the fundamental knowledge on Offshore Gas Production and Processing Systems. It covers Gas and LNG activities. Over the next two decades gas is predicted to grow at a much faster rate than oil, and at the end of this period may outstrip oil and becomes the dominant energy source. Up to some 40% of gas comes from Offshore Fields. Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to understand the basics of offshore gas production facilities, their working principles and field requirements, covering both conventional gas and LNG. Case Studies and videos will be used to illustrate lessons learned from past successful projects.A CDROM of the powerpoint presentation in colour will be distributed with the lecture materials. WHO SHOULD ATTENDShipbuilding, Shiprepair & Ship Conversion, Oil Rig-building, Offshore Engineering & Construction, LNG Facilities, Offshore & Subsea Oil & Gas Production personnel involved in project management, engineering, procurement, production, construction, commercial, commissioning and administration. COURSE CONTENTIntroduction to offshore production systemsProduction hosts for offshore gas productionGas processing & exportExamples of gas field – world wideHistory of FLNG & overview of issuesLand based LNG plantsLiquefaction processes (and their suitability to FLNGStorage systems for LNGFLNG vessels and current developmentsFloating storage regassification vessels (fsru) AWARDCertificate of Participation will be awarded to participants who have achieved at least 80% attendance. COURSE DETAILSStart Date : 20th March – 21st March 2014Duration of Course : 12 hoursDay/Time : Thursday and Friday – 9.00 am to 4:00 pmCOURSE FEE : $420 + $29.40 (GST)For registration and more course details, kindly click HERE.
