5th International Conference on Technology and Operation of Offshore Support Vessels
The Joint Branch of the RINA and the IMarEST (Singapore) along with Newcastle University (Singapore) and Singapore Maritime Academy, Singapore Polytechnic continue its OSV series of International Conferences in its 5th time. There is a good demand for providing a wide range of support services such as towage, anchor handling, supply, fire fighting, ROV operation, diving support, well stimulation & intervention, pollution control measures, load out, transportation and installation activities, offshore wind farm installation and maintenance operations, and logistics support for offshore oil and gas industry. These growths in both size & complexity fuelled by new emerging technology continuously bring new challenges for innovative solutions. The conference will also highlight on new global market forecasts for new frontiers like Arctic conditions, offshore renewables, offshore renewable energy, reducing fuel cost, increasing energy efficiency, financing climate, crewing & manpower demand, etc.
A 2-day event comprising of keynote speeches, technical papers’ presentations and an experts’ panel discussion, the conference will provide a platform for ship designers, shipbuilders, OSV owners & operators, drilling contractors, installation contractors to present and discuss future needs and challenges, as the search for hydrocarbons moves into deeper waters. The conference will consider a wide range of vessel types including anchor handling tug/supply vessels, offshore supply vessels, multipurpose support/supply vessels, diving support vessels, multipurpose construction vessels, pipe laying vessels, accommodation barges, crew boats, large crane vessels, subsea construction vessels, etc.
The conference welcomes papers from all aspects of OSV design, technology, building, operation from designers, consultants, shipbuilders, owners, operators, manufacturers, classification societies, regulators, research organizations, academic institutions, etc. Topics may, in general, include the following:
